Dear Partners,
The track closures for August 2025 have been announced on the railway line leading to the MCC terminal (Budapest-Kikötő railway station), on the Budapest Ferencváros - Budapest Soroksári út section as follows for 3x 68-hour periods:
- from 04:00AM 08.08.2025 Friday – to 24:00 10.08.2025 Sunday : 68 hours
- from 04:00AM 15.08.2025 Friday – to 24:00 17.08.2025 Sunday : 68 hours
- from 04:00AM 22.08.2025 Friday – to 24:00 24.08.2025 Sunday : 68 hours
Please note that during the above-mentioned periods, all 3 terminals in Budapest (MCC, BILK, METRANS) will be simultaneously excluded from rail traffic, therefore, significant congestion may occur on the railway lines before and after the closures.
Between August 12 and September 12, 2025, overhead line works will be carried out on the same railway section, and during the day, the terminals will only be serviced by diesel locomotives for 5-6 hours.
Traction companies are requested to notify MÁV Pályaműködtetési Zrt. of their diesel traction needs.
