On May 8, 2024, the President of China will visit Hungary and will spend 3 days in the country till May 10.
The Budapest Airport, in cooperation with the authorities, has been preparing for the smooth execution of the President's visit.
The Budapest Airport would like to draw the attention of its partners that during the President's stay - especially on the day of his arrival and departure, namely in the evening of May 8 and in the afternoon of May 10 - periodic traffic restrictions will be imposed in the vicinity of the airport, which may lead to congestion. When approaching the airport, please expect at least an hour of increased travel time at the following times:
- Evening of May 8, around 19:00-20:30, and
- May 10, around 17:00-18:30.
Bus line 200E operated by BKK will follow a modified route between 15:00-21:00 on May 8 and 14:00-18:30 on May 10. During these time frames, the service towards the airport will not stop at the BUD Cargo City and the International Post Exchange Center stops, and towards the city center, it will not stop at the Aviation Museum stop.
